Merlot Reserve
This wine is 100% Merlot, with a strong varietals character, and yet an identity all its own.
Possessing a fully saturated, deep purple color, with aromas of dark fruit such as blackberry, as well as classic aromas of coffee grounds and cocoa. This wine has a vibrancy and fullness of texture as well as the mouth-coating, “dusty” tannins, helping to provide for a long, well modulated finish with plenty of re-echoing fruit to provide filling for the structure.
To imagine this wine, think of an excellent Pomerol, but with more ripeness and exuberance.
Most any meat dish is fine with this wine, but its softer, fleshier texture make it a good companion to grilled salmon or tuna as well.
This wine can be enjoyed now, but it will evolve with another 3-7 years in the bottle.

Gary Vaynerchuk, Wine Library TV – “COLOR-dark; NOSE-pretty fierce nose; has some real darkness and intensity; pretty interesting; I really like it; very classic; great nose; PALATE-this wine has some serious backbone and is definitely well made; there's some really, really good fruit here; explosive black currant; gorgeous blueberries coming through; very dark wine; a little cedar box and tobacco on the back-end; the wine is really smooth and exceptionally well made; this wine is stellar; explosive fruit; this is a very good bottle of wine; comes across very St. Emilion with just outrageous silkiness and the fruit is unparalleled; 90+" http://tv.winelibrary.com/2010/02/08/the-other-46-pa-wine-tasting-with-penns-woods-winery-episode-813/
